MARDI GRAS BEAD COLLECTION & RECYCLING BIN
AT YOUR LOCATION
Dear Merchant/Organization
leader:
Gulf Coast Industries (GCI) has kicked off our
4th Annual Mississippi Coast-wide Bead Collection and
Recycling Drive. The bead collection project gives our individuals
at Gulf Coast Industries an opportunity to learn, train, work, and earn
money. In the past year you may have seen our work activity center’s
Mardi Gras bead collection and recycling program as featured on WLOX,
SOUTH MISSISSIPPI LIVING MAGAZINE, The JOURNAL FOR SOUTH MISSISSIPPI
BUSINESS, THE SUN HERALD, and COASTAL ANGLER MAGAZINE. In addition, you may have also seen the Throw-M-Again
bead collection bins at any of the
seventy-plus locations from Picayune to Pascagoula. The collection
program has been a major success and continues to grow. In the past
three years tens-of-thousands of Mardi Gras beads have been collected,
separated, repackaged, and sold back to the krewe members in
“Discount Krewe Sacks” under our trade name of Throw-M-Again
Beads. We are delivering our collection and recycle bins throughout
the community and our goal this year is to place one hundred collection
bins at businesses, schools, municipalities, and other establishments
along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Listed below are some of the ways you can
assist the individuals at Gulf Coast Industries’ work activities center:
1)
Be an official Throw-M-Again DROP OFF location by authorizing a
collection bin.
2) Be a
Throw-M-AgainÔ
collection point for the employees at your workplace.
3) Contract GCI to make custom specialty
necklaces for your organization’s next special event or marketing
project.
4) Assist with supplies or marketing tools. Consider
making a foundation donation or financial contribution to the GCI
Throw-M-Again bead collection and recycling program.
5) Purchase the
Throw-M-AgainÔ
“Discount Krewe Sacks”.
6) Spread the word about our programs to your friends, family,
and co-workers.
